Dr. Dog formed in 1999 by grade school pals Toby Leaman and Scott McMiken and since have built a strong and steady fan base. In addition to their usual club shows, they’ve become faves at many festivals over the years. Their latest album “Shame, Shame” released this past April, is their first for ANTI-, which is under the umbrella of legendary indie label Epitaph.

Dr. Dog made a pretty big decision to go “outside their camp” to produce their latest album “Shame, Shame.” With all of their own ideas run into the ground, it was time to get another ear and voice involved.  Dr. Dog   Summer Session Number 1Dr. Dog Performs In-StudioThey also wanted to bring the energy of a live show onto a record. Rob Schnapf was tapped for the gig, and to make it still feel like a “home record” they stayed east, as opposed to heading west where Rob generally would work. Dreamland studios in Woodstock, NY was chosen.

For this Last.fm Discover / Energizer Series session they chose to do “Station” and “I Only Wear Blue.” They also went with our request of “Someday” which has been getting a lot of play on Last.fm Discover.
