Last.fm Discover – The Vaccines

They have been one of the most talked about and praised new bands to come out of the U.K. in the last several months. The Vaccines have yet to release their debut album (due out in the U.K. on 3/14) but the anticipation has been propelled by the release of two singles.
The Vaccines made their U.S. stage debut on the evening of January 20th at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City, and earlier that day, the band stopped by Last.fm Discover for an exclusive interview. Musically the band run the spectrum to my ears from The Wedding Present, Ramones, The Pooh Sticks, The Chameleons, a little bit of The Velvet Underground and especially The Soup Dragons before they discovered and covered “I’m Free” by The Rolling Stones.
