The Dear Hunter is the project of Casey Crescenzo who previously was rocking around in the band The Receiving End Of Sirens. Ever since 2006, Casey has been releasing a series of albums, which currently consists of Act I, Act II and Act III. Casey decided to take a break from “The Acts” to do something less ambitious. However, he wound up doing something overly ambitious. That became a series of 9 EP’s, each represented by a certain color, (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet(Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet with Black & White added as well). The Color Spectrum release is available in two formats. The complete collection is available in an impressive vinyl box set and as a digital download. The standard version culls 11 tracks from the EP’s, one from each of the nine EP’s and one addtional from the Green and White EP’s. At the end of the week, Casey will fully explain in our chat with him. You can watch the “unboxing” of the ”The Color Spectrum: Complete Collection” in today’s post, in addition to the acoustic performance of “She’s Always Singing” which appears in studio form, on the Yellow EP.
